ARACHNOEXPO

On Saturday, July 21 ArachnoCon will present ArachnoExpo, a sales and exhibition event that will present vendors of live arachnids and invertebrates, related supplies and books, art, photography, and more a unique opportunity to reach eager consumers.

ArachnoExpo will be held in the Norris Conference Center at Crossroads Mall, which is adjacent to our headquarters hotel. ArachnoExpo will be advertised nationally and locally and be open to the general public and registered ArachnoCon guests. There will be a special preview for registrants Saturday morning that will offer you additional sales opportunities.

EXHIBITOR PRICING

REGULAR REGISTRATION [May 2-July 1]: $135.00 for the first table, $125.00 each additional table*

* 8 foot tables are available by request only and there will be an additional $15.00 fee for each one requested.

Each table space (6 or 8 ft.) includes one registration to ArachnoCon. In other words, if you purchase one table and have two exhibitors, you will receive one paid registration and have to pay for one additional convention registration. If you purchase two tables and have two exhibitors, there is no additional registration fee. However, regardless of whether your registration fee is included or not, we request that each attendee fills out the ArachnoCon registration form (in addition to the Exhibitor registration form). One convention fee is included with each table fee, and any additional persons will need to remit the convention registration fee via PayPal or postal money order. Please note payment cut-off date for both convention and exhibitor early registration.

If you just need a helper during ArachnoExpo we will also offer one free admission to ArachnoExpo only per exhibitor (limit one per exhibit, not per table). This person is not entitled to entrance to any other ArachnoCon events, but can assist you during ArachnoExpo. We hope your helper would rather register for the convention and join all of the festivities, but this bonus expo-only admission helps exhibitors, particularly those who are local to the San Antonio area, bring one extra person into Saturday's ArachnoExpo.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

All payment MUST be received in full by the cut-off date in order to get that discounted price. You will not be added to the exhibitor page of our website until your exhibit space is paid in full. All payments must be received no later than 30 days prior to the event or you will risk being excluded from the expo. Cancellation MUST be no less than 30 days in advance of the event start date or there will be NO refunds. There will be NO exceptions.

EXHIBITOR REGULATIONS

SALES POLICY

All sales during the ArachnoCon weekend must take place at the ArachnoExpo during scheduled hours. Animals and animal sales are prohibited at the SpringHill Suites headquarters hotel. When you must have animals in your hotel suite they should be hidden from view in sealed styrofoam or cardboard boxes. We expect everyone's cooperation in this matter.

ELECTRICITY

Each vendor/exhbitor that requires electricity MUST inform us as soon as possible. A reasonable amount of electricity is available to those exhibitors that require it. Each vendor/exhibitor using electricity must furnish their own supplies [extension cords, power strips, etc.] and neatly secure power cords using duct tape. If you do not provide your own supplies or require substantial electrical hookups the conference center will impose additional fees that the exhibitor will be liable for.

PROHIBITED ANIMALS

Venomous reptiles, endangered and protected species, and species excluded by Texas state regulations are strictly prohibited. It is each vendor's responsibility to be aware of and follow any and all federal and state laws and regulations. Any arachnids or other invertebrates with "medically significant venom", including, but not limited to, all scorpions of the family Buthidae and widow spiders [Latrodectus], must be in secure, escape-proof containers at all times. We recommend deli cups with lids secured tightly by electrical tape for scorpions and vials with screw-type lids (also secured by tape) for true spiders.

VENDOR LIABILITY

ALL VENDORS/EXHIBITORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A LIABILITY WAIVER PRIOR TO THE EVENT. This form is available for download here.

Vendors shall hold Arachnopets, the show coordinators, staff, and the Norris Conference Center harmless from all claims beyond the price of the table rental. The expo staff reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any vendor not in compliance with the above show regulations without refund of table rental fee. Vendors assume full responsibility for all animals brought to the show, and any injuries caused by animals brought by a vendor are the sole responsibility and liability of that vendor.
